Hi all,I'm trying for my first visa for 60 days. I'm an American (sorry) and don't understand this next part. 

9 . Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency.

I dont think they care where you apply to be honest. However, I dont recall. I keep photos of my DL so I could have used either the NC or the TX, but I don't remember if I needed to upload my DL. I think I should my passport - which suffices for residency of country, which is what they are asking for.

Your FB profile says you live in NJ so you select NYC Thai Consulate to process your e-visa when you apply online (red/orange color on this map).

You upload a copy of your driver's ID from NJ.

Use the thai consulate in usa, the second part ( show proof) attach picture of your usa passport showing your photo and passport number.

You had to pick which consulate you are using as part of your application. Now you need to show proof that you live in the state that covers the consulate you picked. Something like a driver's license or utility bill showing your name and address.
