Can I ask you which company you work for that allows you to work overseas? I'm also in the data field

Chen Ryan Ma I don’t want to share too much, but if you're in the US, there are several companies that offer work from anywhere, each with their own policies—Pinterest being one of them. Many others do as well, but their rules vary, so I’d recommend doing your own research to find the best fit for you. That said, I also know A LOT of people who work remotely and just travel around without officially getting authorization from their employer—they simply just bounce around on a tourist visa.

can I ask what your salary in USD is? I've been working parttime this last year so it's under 80K per year : ( so Im worried a little that that makes me in-eligible

There is no income requirement. However, if your salary is quite low, I’d suggest keeping a significant balance in your account for a longer period to show that you can support yourself.

That’s a lot of paperwork. A lot of idiots in here say it's simple, and easy. Maybe if you’re a bureaucrat

Honestly, it was super easy for me. The biggest factors are the embassy you apply through and whether you go for a Workation or Thai Soft Power .HCMC is really strict these days, asking for tons of extra info. Meanwhile, I got mine approved in just four days in Jakarta. No extra documents, no hassle.

No. They didn't ask me for a return ticket either. Honestly, I don't know anyone that has been asked for a return ticket.

That’s great, congrats! So you didn’t attach any house/hotel contract to show them that you have a place to stay in Thailand?

Thanks
