Hi all, I am British and need to renew my retirement visa. Iโve just been to BluPort Immigration office in Hua Hin to get a list of everything I need, the list says I need a letter from either Embassy or Consulate confirming income of at least 65k baht monthly. As I have been bringing into Thailand a minimum of 65k baht monthly for the past year will a statement from my bank suffice? I bank with Kasikorn and use TransferWise to bring the money in. Many thanks in advance ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
A British citizen looking to renew their retirement visa in Thailand must provide documentation verifying an income of at least 65,000 baht monthly. Since the UK Embassy no longer issues income affidavits, applicants should instead present 12 months of bank statements showing consistent international transfers of the required amount. Additionally, a bank letter confirming the current balance and details may be required. Verification with Kasikorn Bank regarding the status of these transfers might also be necessary, especially if using TransferWise, which processes payments through Bangkok Bank.

Unfortunately TransferWise use Bangkok Bank to clear all of their transfers into Thailand so Kasikorn bank statements will not register the payments as international. You or Kasikorn Bank will have to get confirmation from Bangkok Bank that the money has been transferred from abroad. We had a similar situation and found Bangkok Bank in Hua Hin were helpful.
you need updated copies of your Bank Account Pass Books. If you don't have Pass Books you will have to check with Immigration what you need.

As a brit you haven't been able to get the "affidavit of income from abroad letter since 1 January 2019 <- the date they stopped issuing them :O )
So IF you're going to get a year extension using monthly income method you need to get a year print out from your bank showing the incoming transfers from abroad of at least 65K baht each month every month for the previous 12 months.
AND
you'll still need the "regular" bank letter (the one that says your name and the account number and the balance on the date the letter was written (which needs to be within 7 days of when you apply for the extension
AND you'll need copies of the pages in your bank book and to update it on the date you go apply for the extension too
Listen up people this is NOT gonna turn into a "will transferwise work or not" thread. IF you choose to use that way to bring your money in it's on YOU to figure out how to show the funds came from abroad if the deposits don't code international.
Sadly that is not a visa question and you should post it on the TransferWise Solutions in Thailand group

Just seen you're British. You won't get an affidavit from the embassy, so you have to show 12 x monthly international transfers into YOUR Thai bank account of minimum

Baht. You will need a letter from your bank confirming the transfers and your updated bank book

You will need to be transferring 65K THB EVERY MONTH marked overseas. A bank statement will be accepted.
