Hi guys, heading to Philippines next month (from the US) and then to Bangkok for a week. Iβm a US citizen. Other than a valid passport and a confirmed hotel reservation in Bangkok, is there anything else I may need to enter Thailand?
Thanks a lot - hope this trip works out.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen traveling to Thailand needs a valid passport and a confirmed hotel reservation. Additionally, they may be required to show proof of onward travel (a flight ticket out of Thailand within 30 days) to the airline. It's also advisable to carry some cash (preferably new $100 bills) and, for health precautions, consider having medications for common issues like diarrhea.
If you go to Walmart and buy a plastic Pencil Box for a buck, then go to the pharmacy, you can fill the box with small bottles of Meds that will cover you for any Minor Problem/Pain.

Ciprofloxacin belongs to a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. (Prescription) For dealing with REALLY BAD "Travelers Diarrhea."

Loperamide is FDA-approved to help control symptoms of diarrhea, including Travelers' Diarrhea. The maximum approved daily dose for adults is 8 mg per day for OTC use and 16 mg per day for prescription use. It is sold under the OTC brand name Imodium A-D, as store brands, and as generics.
Nothing. Your coming for a week. Don't overthink it. They might question your sanity by staying in the Philippines for a month and Thailand only 1 week.
If you plan on bringing cash - bring ONLY new-ish unmarked, and un-creased hundred dollar bills. Also, if you fly thru Hong Kong - they don't exchange Peso from the Philippines there.
You might need to show proof of leaving Thailand within 30 days to your airline before they let you board your flight to Thailand. If you're staying less than that and will have a ticket out to show them already then no problem. If not you may want to contact them and ask their policies
