Hi - I’m moving to BKK in mid December and wanted to find out more about visa types and their pros and cons. As my company is not yet established in Thailand I do not have a sponsoring entity for my work visa. Is it possible to move to Thailand on a business visa initially, and does it allow me to do some basic things like open a bank account, sign a rental contract, etc ? The other option is to get a work permit through a sponsoring agency, however as I understand that is quite expensive. Appreciate if someone can provide practical advice on this, thanks !

You need to heir a lawyer then u should have 3 thai partners for opening the company nature of business and most important 4 thai employees in the company against yourself foreign nationality work permit need to be applied

you may apply for the non Immigrant b visa which gives you one time 90 days of stay inside Thailand but that will be not enough time to find a lawyer or accountants office and set up a branch of your firm. You can do all this using the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa which is valid for 6 months and on every entry you get 60 days of stay. you can get almost 9 months of stay out of it in sections of 60 days and last section with extension of stay from immigration depending on country of origin of your passport. This would give you much more time
