TLDR : Answer Summary
This post outlines the closure dates for Thai immigration offices and consulates in various countries during December 2019 and January 2020, including specific dates when offices will be closed, advice on planning for visa pickups, and comments from users seeking clarification on the schedule.
Thank you for these dates. Any ideas for February, specifically in Penang? Monday the 10th is Makha Puja day "observed," so I'm wondering if that day the consulate will be closed?

Thank you guys. I'm going to Penang that week for a visa, so I will count on Monday being closed to be safe.

Penang can sometimes be different. They seem to open and bank the holidays, then take a week off later

February 10th is a holiday for Mukha Bucha day which falls on Saturday the 8th. Monday the 10th is certainly a public holiday in lieu of the Saturday.

AFAIK; there are no holidays in February that consulates are closed on, BUT I'll look at the one by one later this month.
I know there are NO immigration holidays in Feb for sure
Okay there is some confusion about the Vientiane Closures at the end of dec. I just called them and was told they are NOT closed on the 30th even though their calendar shows it, the officer was adamant they were open. So traveler beware
I also split Vientiane holidays from Savannakhet because when i called Savannakhet they said they were closed the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 30th, 31th
sorry to be repetitive here just wanting to clarify before I book my ticket. Vientiane is closed on the 10th. However Savannakhet is open on the 10th?

HEADS up people. the consulates are closed a fair number of days next month.. IF you apply for a visa and the consulate is closed the next day, you WAIT IT OUT in that country until they're open again to get your passport back the afternoon of the next business day.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE CLOSURE DATES, or be prepared to hang in that country a few days
is all the Thai immigration offices mean including the offices from every provinces too right? Needed to get the visa extension but they say I have to go extension before 20th which mean tomorrow because they going to be closed for holiday
, I made a mistake in my sheet and the thai consulate in Vientiane is NOT closed on the 6th, only the 5th. So if you are scheduled to turn in your application on the 4th, you would pick your passport up on the afternoon of the 6th.
