What are the steps for transitioning from a Tourist visa to a Non-O spouse Visa in Thailand?

The process goes like this

1 - enter on a tourist visa get stamped in for 60 days

2 - open a bank account transfer in the 400K baht

3 - apply for the in country 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage at the immigration office for 2000baht

(it will go under review for 14 days so he needs to have a minimum of 15 days left on his stamp when he applies)

4 - go back and get the Non-O visa and a new 90 day stamp inked in

5 - WAIT until the funds have been in the account for 2 months and there are less than 30 days remaining on the 90 day Non-O visa stamp

5 - go apply for the year extension based on marriage to a thai for 1900baht <- (this is when the funds need to be seasoned 2 months)

6 - get a 30 day under consideration stamp

7 - get an in home visit from immigrations making sure it's a real marriage

8 - when that 30 day under consideration stamp runs out go back to the immigration office and get the year extension inked in

Those are the exact steps needed to go from a tourist visa to first a 90 day Non-O and then a year extension based on marriage to a thai

There is no requirement that the 400K baht be in a thai bank account in his name only for any length of time when he applies for the initial 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai.

Only that on the day he applies it's in his account here. The 2 months seasoning applies when he goes to apply for the yearly extension when the 90 day Non-O runs down
