Regarding inter-provincial travel: I am aware that there are restrictions and potential (home) quarantine requirements when going from certain higher risk areas to some provinces. TAT (see link) provices a helpful summary about individual province's regulations. The questions that bugs me is: What is the definition of coming from a "high risk / high controlled" area? Say I am taking my car and drive from one low risk area (say Chiang Mai) to another low risk province ( say the south of Thailand). I would naturally have to cross some of the higher controlled areas in central Thailand (e.g. using the highway through Samut Sakhon). Does this count as coming from a highly controlled area upon arrival? What if I just drive through and not stop overnight? Any first hand experiences with this? Much appreciated!

Tell the authorities your final destination and from where you come from , should not be a problem especially if your truck is registered in CM.

Just make sure you stop in a clean hotel , many of them on the side of the highway near big towns after Chumphon all clear

Makes sense, in theory. But I would have to stop somewhere. Cannot ride an old Thai pickup truck on Thai roads from Chiang Mai to Nakhon Si Thammarat for about 1500km nonstop 😉 And yes, sure. I would apply common sense and layover in a lesser risk province. Still, the question remains if authorities would regard driving through a critical province same as coming from one. Cause I would have to drive through a more controlled area at some point - with Thailand being narrow down there.
