I had my DTV approved from Laos Vientiane Embassy under workation category. If you are going to apply yours at the same place and have any questions, I'm happy to help out π

you dont need to fill in the guarantor section if you're using your own bank account with 500k and above funding. The guarantor section is only for those who need others' bank account to be presented at the bank

Hello,
Besides preparing a work contract that shows I can work remotely from home or any location, along with my payslips and proof of savings, what other documents should I prepare? Also, could you please let me know what size the photos need to be for submission?
I really look forward to your reply, and I apologize for asking so many questions at once. Thank you!
Most importantly, do you know the deadline for submitting the DTV application?
Congrats on your visa. Can I ask you an off topic question?
When you go in for your appointment do you arrive before 9am and join the line? Also do they call you up by your queue number (mine is 064) or is it first in first served?
sorry I meant when you arrive for your appointment do they serve you in sequence of your queue number? Or do you just join the line and first in first served?
well tbh though.. I think if you go early, you might need to queue.. I arrived at 1:30pm ish so it was pretty much just me and 2 other people who were there π π

Did you supply a rental contract in Thailand? I notice that some people do.
i submitted TM30. I have 1 year lease in Bangkok. And the condo management team gave me some sort of letter written in Thai. I'm sure it's certificate about me staying in the condo and they also included their manager's ID and some necessary letters as well π
for any visa that isn't a tourist visa and especially when applying from Vientiane, they don't ask for flight tickets into Thailand. Considering Vientiane is 20km from Thailand via the Friendship Bridge, presuming one would fly to Thailand is a bit ridiculous. Different story if you're in America, Australia or Europe of course.
i submitted on Tuesday and received the visa on Thursday evening so it took 2 working days. You only need to show them the entry stamp to Laos. I didn't submit return ticket.
thank your for uploading this form! So we have to put a guarantee person from Thailand and Vientiane? What did you put for this section? Also is payslip required? Thanks!

Vicky Hui well if you don't need a guarantor, as in if you are using bank account under your name, you don't need to fill that section. And even if you do need 1, the person (guarantor) doesn't specifically need to be from specific country. You need to show the solid relationship between you and the guarantor. Their financial situation and a cover letter stating how they will be responsible for you.
So as we, the Burmese passport holders, some of us tends to put more in our bank account just to be safe π₯Ήπ₯Ή like slightly higher than 500k. And yes, 500k needs to be there for 3 months to secure, however, some of my friends said they put the money like a week before they applied. It really does depend on the embassy you chose at this point I guess. Some only cares about the closing balance and some seems to care about the consistency of your bank balance. I also heard they like to see the transactions as some would put money to be just there and and withdraw after the process π¬
For Laos, 3 months is mandatory for all nationalities. They'll refuse your application if the funds have been in there even for one day less than 3 months.
I think Vietnam and Jakarta are fine for one month. I was looking at Laos to do a walk-in but won't have the 500k for 3 mths so will change to an easier one. Thanks.
Did you have to show your salary or money from the company? Money made online? I got denied somewhere else with my actual business, because I don't give myself a salary
if you have your own business, then I think you need to show your business and profit portfolio with paid income tax etc etc and your business license/ registration. Then you won't need payslips
same happened to me. So I had to apply for tourist visa, and for the past 3 months I have been transferring myself a salary. But I can see, they are asking for 6 months payslips, which I donβt haveβ¦ maybe I should try another country? Or everywhere we need to show payslips for 6 months?
