So far we’ve heard several accounts of those getting their DTVs successfully and that’s great but I’m just wondering what about those who tried to apply but were rejected. It’d be great if you could also share your stories so that others can avoid the same mistakes.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the experiences of individuals applying for Thailand's Digital Visa (DTV), focusing particularly on those who faced rejection. Some participants express curiosity about rejection cases, while others highlight that most applicants are simply asked for additional information rather than outright rejected. A British expat mentions their visa application was rejected due to difficulties obtaining necessary entrance and exit records, suggesting that applying from a neighboring country like Cambodia might be a better option. Further, there's a debate about the terminology used in visa status updates, clarifying that 'cancelled' can often imply effective rejection in the e-visa system.
Im British and live in China. I applied for this visa and it got rejected. You can't get entrance exit records here so I think the rejection is based on this. I was told the most secure option for someone in my situation is to go to Cambodia and apply from there
actually “cancel” rhetorically means application terminated in e-visa system . If they need more documents to check, the status will turn into “pending documents” so if you see “cancel” in evisa system that means this application won’t go any further (rejected de facto), and you can’t get any refund.
interesting. They just wanted to see my balance with the money in, plus proof of address. This was applying in Uk. All fine accepted and now in Thailand
I'm sure people have been, I just haven't seen any. Normally though in that case the embassy just asks for additional documents , weird they would deny him unless he was unable to provide 6 months after they asked for it.
Because he was out of the country maybe he didn't have remote access to his account, he was able to return with a marriage extension so will try again next year

Don't think there's many being rejected. They're just asked to provide more information
For why reasons? Pasttomorrow I have to go to Vientiane Embassy. If you can provide me more information about the rejections there I will be very grateful.
Yes bad in Vientiane ^^ They wanted my proof of freelance to be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in France, and a letter from my bank to confirm that my bank statement is real ^^
Yeah I am not surprised, I remember applying for a simple tourist visa at the Singapore Thai embassy and they were a bit over the top. I guess Laos is the way to go.
it's was in euro yes, they tell me it's better if it's a thai bank directly, finally I don't do it because no time to get the bank letter and my document certified by foreign affair. Better to do online I think ^^
I'm talking about eVisa. I personally know three people in the last two weeks accepted through Sydney Consulate. If you look through the Thai visa Facebook groups there's scores of successful applications
And no-one knows how many accepted, but going by the reports on Thai visa/travel Facebook groups it appears there's an avalanche of acceptances. The criteria for the visa is quite easy to meet. The people I know are switching from retirement visas to DTV, and they've been easy
