Going to mtt today. Destination country has covid and the embassy won't issue a letter. Do I check both 1 and 2, one or the other and why?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether to check both options regarding their MTT appointment due to COVID-19 restrictions affecting embassy services. Comments indicate that some users suggest going back later if possible to avoid delays in visa processing, with additional queries regarding changing appointments being addressed.
Interesting that's surprising, especially because BKK usually doesnt check tm30. Personally, I usually book a hotel the night before to make sure there are no issues. What ended up happening?
my Canadian friend also had an issue and there was another foreginer as well there. I asked why this had not been an issue before and they said "when covid was still an emergency we didn't actually check this. We are checking it now ". So get ready for mtt to join all the other offices in the hard time about tm30 club.
Immigration said not to disclose what we worked out, but they said I need to get a tm30 correction in place asap. My assistant is trying to unravel what's wrong in immigrations computer system, but it's a mess.
what date stamp did you get? I biked it to chaemg wattana today like a muppet and found all the desks closed, only to be told to go to MTT tomorrow. But I’m reading this stuff now about 60 days from the date you go to MTT
I don't have your confidence after my experience yesterday.

if you haven't gone to MTT yet, save yourself the trip, they're only stamping people from the day they go in for their appointment so you'd be missing 2 weeks or so on your new visa.
the thing is I haven't seen ANY "close the loop" stamps from people who got them recently when applying for the 60 day unable to travel due to covid extension. Everyone is still on either their previous extension (meaning they haven't applied for a new one yet) OR they're on an under consideration stamp (meaning they haven't gone back yet to get the extension stamp).
As a rule, extensions are effective starting from the expiration date of the current stamp you have in your passport. I think we're gonna hafta wait and see
, unless I'm mistaken they are giving people a 14 day "under consideration" stamp dated the date you apply for the 60 day extension BUT then when you show up on that date you get a 60 day extension dated from the date your current extension expires.
