TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent reports indicate that the Thaipass website was hacked and emails were compromised, leading to numerous scam emails being sent to users. Many individuals have reported receiving suspicious emails prompting concerns about data protection standards in Thailand. Current applicants are unsure if their applications are affected, while others express frustration over this ongoing issue.
Is that the reason the passes are not getting approved? I have a team of 10 traveling to Thailand on Monday from various countries for a business meeting and no one got Thaipass approved yet, all are "in review"... is making 7 days today we all applied so getting a bit nervous... 🙁
I got this email and unfortunately I responded. I've been hacked, my Facebook, Google accounts ect, my private pictures are being sent to my family and friends and threatened to be posted all over the internet, I'm being blackmailed and harassed, as is my boyfriend. Do not open it!!!!! It's a super smart hacker and I've never heard of his being done in really life before to normal people.

I have received constant emails. I originally replied asking why was the problem. I kept getting emails and responded with basic information. If used illegally don't think will get any satisfaction from government. Site hacked how bad is that. Was highly suspicious but my bad was tired of getting.

Just seen this post. Got it just now as I checked into airport
This is what happens when substandard data protection standards are allowed when housing personally identifiable information. GDPR has a sister here in Thailand called PDPA, but is isn’t enforced. This is a result of that and man, this sucks for the people whose info was just stolen (possibly).
