TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting for immigration in Thailand is free of charge. To complete this report, you must visit the immigration office in person the first time, but subsequent reports can be done online. You can file your report between 15 days before and 7 days after the due date. If you fail to report on time, there may be a penalty of 2000 THB due to missing or late TM30 registration.

90 days is for free. Just go to your immigration. The first time you have to do it in person. In future you can do it online.

if you leave the country and re-enter itโ€™s highly likely you will need to report again in person on first 90 day.

this is what I was saying. Every first 90 days has to be in person. But if you are here you never what to leave again.

You donโ€™t pay for the 90 day report

the window for filing a 90-days report on Immigration is from 15 days before and no later than 7 days after the due date. The 90-days report is free of charge. However if you visit Immigration personally, make sure you are properly TM30 registered in your accomodation. If you are not TM30 registered, Immigration can refuse to service you and can fine you with 2000 THB for a late or missing TM30

Youโ€™re allowed to report up to 15 days before or 7 days after your due date, giving you a bit of flexibility. Missing this window, however, will cost you.

The online application is also likely to be rejected if there is no TM30 filed or if the 90 Day Report is for a different address to that of the last TM30 files, you will be instructed to attend Immigration.

Yes, generally, re-enter the country requires a new TM30

There is no such thing as paid in advance. You go to immagration 14 days before or 7 days after the date. It's free if you fail to report it's 2000 bht fine. Maybe you are thinking of an agent reporting for you they charge like 500 bht for the service
