I have had 400K seeded in my BKK bank investment account for over a year.  Last extension to satisfy financials I used the combination method but for simplicity am switching to having the full 800K seeded before my next extension end of March.  I have seen various comments about a bank guarantee letter here.  Is this a new variation or addition to the bank letter showing accounts balances dated the same day as the application for extension?

So the bank letter (no older than 7 days prior to application) just states the funds deposited and the passbook update (day of application) shows the balance which will also validate the letter.

Yes. The letter we get from downstairs in BKK CW, same day as we update our passbooks, and same day as we apply for our extensions. From memory last time a couple hundred baht approx...

Depends totally on your immigration office. Bangkok allows the bank letter to be dated up to 7 days prior to your extension application BUT you need to update your bank book on the date you apply for the extension.

Some other immigration offices require the bank letter dated the day you apply for your extension. CHECK with your immigration office to see what they want.
