Good morning! I stayed in Bangkok for a year with a valid 1 year visa. However, I didn't get out of the country every 30 days. The reason I got banned from going back for a year until February next year.
My question is, how strict is the Thai immigration on people like me who'd want to return for a short visit? I believe it's in the system aside from my stamp...
Coz my 7-year old son got approved for a tvc shoot and obviously I have to accompany him for 3 days.
Would they give any considerations or would they deny us entry?
Please help. Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on their potential entry into Thailand after being banned for one year due to overstaying a Non-O visa by 233 days. They mention their 7-year-old son has been approved for a TVC shoot in Thailand, prompting their inquiry into whether immigration might grant an exception for a short visit despite the ban. Responses indicate that the ban, typically enforced strictly by immigration, likely prevents their entry until its expiration, regardless of special circumstances.

Tvc work in Thailand unreliable at best. I would never put one of daughters in a Thai production with the 30 percent commission and poor work conditions and then there is the issue about even getting the pay promised. Serve your time and don't worry about the tvc.

Thanks William. It's not a Thai production, Bangkok is just the location. 😬

What ever visa you had, you didn't use it correctly. :/
Keep in mind that just getting a VISA from a thai consulate doesn't guarantee entry into thailand. There are a LOT of reports of people who were banned getting a visa for thailand, flying here and being denied entry.
just remember.. nothing is stopping you from applying for a new visa.. and solicitors are there to help. .. personally I don't think you have a good enough reason to be allowed another visa just yet, but then I am not a specialist solicitor.. if you are granted a visa.. then there is not reason why they shouldn't allow you entry into the country.
, can you post a picture of the stamp in your passport from when you left the country?
Unfortunately the fact your son has a photo shoot here is not reason enough to overturn your ban.
If you were banned for a year (something that ONLY happens for an overstay) you can't come in until the ban is over.

And .. although your son may have been approved for the TVC shot.. he probably won't get a visa to enter the country..
Also.. why don't you try getting a visa?? If you believe to have special circumstances.. then you need to go to the Thai embassy in your country and apply for the visa.. they might be sympathetic..if you have a visa to enter the country then I can't see why you would be denied entry when you arrive here.. I do think that you may need quite a bit of luck getting the visa however.. so you may need to get a solicitor to help you.
