Regarding the bank letter confirming funds etc for a non 0 visa. I believe it cannot be older than 7 days before application ? Has anybody had experience of collecting a letter on a Monday for example and then going to Chaeng Wattana the following Monday or is that too late?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-O visa in Thailand, it is generally understood that the bank letter confirming funds should be no older than 7 days prior to your application. However, it seems that experiences can vary. Some users recommend obtaining the bank letter closer to the application date—ideally on the same day or a few days before—to avoid potential issues at immigration. There are reports of receiving pushback from immigration officials when the letter is obtained too early, even within the 7-day guideline.

... very strange that . In 7 years at same place I’ve never done it on the day. Updated the bank book downstairs same day but not got a letter same day .

I got my bank letter on a Friday and went to Immigration on a Monday. I had a small problem that day. They told me that they would keep my paperwork and she reminded me that the bank letter would only be good until Friday. I returned on Wednesday and completed the extension application. At least on that occasion they were OK with a week old bank letter. My philosophy - don’t wait for the last day.
... cheers Tod . In the past few years my letter has usually been dated two or three days before without being questioned but I was just weighing up options . Thank you .
