Hello all. The validity of my passport will expire on 5/7/2019. Thai Work Visa will expire on 24/11/2018. When I Apply for a New Visa. Will I get a visa for a year or they will only give me 6 months because my passport is valid for only 8 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the validity period of a new Thai visa in relation to the expiration of their passport. Comments indicate that for a year-long Non-B visa application, the passport must have at least 18 months of validity, while an extension of stay will only be issued for the duration that the passport is valid.
IF you are applying for a year-long, multi-entry Non-B visa (where you leave the country every 90 days) you need 18 months validity on your passport at most thai consulates to get one.
IF you are applying for a yearly extension of stay inside the country at the immigration office you need a year, because they will ONLY issue an extension for the time your passport is valid for.

There is no work visa :/ You are either on a Non-B visa where you bounce out and back in every 90 days or you're on an extension of stay where you do 90 day reporting at the immigration office. Which one do you do?
