Hi can anyone help. I am currently on a Non-immigrant O Visa issued from UK Thai Embassy. I am applying to change to a 1 year Married Visa. TM7 Form attached is part of the application. The section at the bottom asks...." I hereby apply for extension period of temporary stay in the Kingdom for.........days"
Question - is 90 or 365 days I enter here, assume it's 90?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on how many days to specify for their extension on the TM7 form while transitioning from a Non-immigrant O Visa to a 1-year Married Visa in Thailand. Responses to the question suggest that since the application is for a 1-year extension based on marriage, the user should indicate 365 days on the form. Several commenters emphasize that the initial visa type dictates the extension eligibility and timeline.

90 as the visa is just 3 months for non O, after which the extension is different based on whatever

David - is it a 90 day Non O? I could not apply for a marriage visa when I was still in UK - so despite being married to a Thai I had to apply for a 90 day Non O Retirement and when I came to extend to 1 year they would only let me extend on a Non O Retirement - citing that your first extension has to be of your original extension.m - you can only change after the first year which is my intention. I will no doubt be corrected but that was what the Immigration Officer told my wife in June. I would be keen to know how you get on.
, That's correct, you have to apply for an extension for the same reason as your entry/initial stamp. You can change the reason for a 1-year extension when you already on 1-year extension.
that is between you and the immigration office there is nothing mentioned about it, meaning that your immigration office would be the people who say if you can or can't.
IF you can use monthly income from abroad you'd have to transfer a minimum of 40K baht a month into a thai bank account in your name only each month every month for the previous 12 months before you applied for an extension <- meaning you could not use that method of proof of funds for the first yearly extension
thanks, have everything on this list and have checked with Sukhothai Immigration and this list matches. Luckily have a few copies of forms so now busy doing the all again in blue........hope it goes smoothly tomorrow, just bank stuff to get in morning.
Cheers Tod

If your Non-O visa states the reason it was issued then your first extension must be for the same reason. You put 365 days

I assume your Non-O is a marriage visa because if it was not issued for marriage you cannot get the first 12 month Extension of Stay based on a different reason to the initial Non-O.

Itโs a yearly extension so 365 days

You are going to apply for a 1-year extension based on marriage to a Thai. So put 365 (days). or less.
