Hi. off to uk for a few months been looking at applying for non immigrant O A visa  from london thai embassy,herd it hard to get medical done in uk .I pattaya  for 2 more weeks anyone any reccomendations for where get medical done patters b4 i fly uk ? I understand its valid for 3 months  once in uk? thanks

We've still got a GP in the UK and last July for a non OA and he did the medical cert for £25. It's just basically ticking that you've not got specific diseases.

The 4 diseases that need to be checked against are extremely rare or non existent in advanced western countries. My GP in Australia just signed it with no bloodwork. But I've been seeing him for many years. YMMV

I would say contact the consulate you're going to be applying for the Non-Immigrant Type O-A visa (the only type that requires a medical check) at to see if they will accept a health certificate from thailand

Im pretty sure it needs to be from the country where you apply for the visa, same as the police check.

I think you need the medical certificate done in your home country, ie UK. It's not difficult to do there but a bit pricey, my mate just paid £180 for his from his registered Doctor

Just for comparison, it was just over $300 in USA for the medical. Mainly for the blood work needed.
