Does the 500k need to be all in one account? Like if I have 10k USD and 9k in CAD for example? This would be two accounts? Should be fine right?

My experience is if you apply for evisa online, the portal only accepts 1 document to upload for bank balance. So I just combined 2 proof of balance statements into 1 document and uploaded that. It was accepted. Applied via Australia.

It’s important to apply from wherever you are physically located at time of application. And ensure if it’s not your home country that the embassy actually will accept applications from visitors

As there is no reports on that you must guess. I don't think it matters if you present documents in neat form. There is plenty of argument why to use multiple accounts whereas living abroad or in general.

there are indeed reports (not necessarily on this group) where people were denied because of multiple accounts trying to hit the financial requirements

That is consulate specific, some consulate won't accept multiple accounts (or if they do, the do so begrudgingly).

Which embassy are you applying from? Ask if they accept 2 accounts. I know London, KL, Jakarta, Cambodia, Vietnam take one. 1-6 months of statements may be asked for depending on embassy.

you will need to contact the embassy you will apply from and ask. CAD is an instant liquid account?
