I have just received my new passport, of course it has a different number. I will use my old passport for visa verification until I have the visa switched to the new passport.

Do I need to notify immigration of the new passport number? Non Immigrant O Marriage Visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about the need to notify immigration regarding their new passport number, while they continue using their old passport for a Non Immigrant O Marriage Visa. The responses clarified that the visa itself cannot be transferred between passports and that the individual will need to carry both passports for the duration of their visa. They will be required to present their new passport for stamps while still showing their old passport which contains the valid visa.

Okay much to my surprise ๐Ÿ˜ฎ the O/P does indeed have a year/multi Non-O visa from Vientiane (gotten just before they went eVisa and stopped multiple entry ๐Ÿ™‚)

He cannot transfer a visa, (from a thai consulate) at the immigration office. They only transfer extension stamps/re-entry permits

So he will carry BOTH passports for the duration of this visa He will be stamping out/in on the new passport every 90 days and showing the old passport because it has the still valid visa in it.

Then it will not be transferred, you just carry both passports.
