Hey, 

I am travelling SE Asia from November to March, I am starting in Thailand then going on to Vietnam and Cambodia, returning to Thailand for Christmas and NY and then off again, finally to return in March before going home. 

I won’t be in Thailand for longer than 30 days on any occasion. Do I need to get a visa before I fly or can I just get a 30 day tourist visa each time I enter at the airport? Everything I’ve read so far suggests I won’t need to as il be entering via air each time. 

Any advice would be appreciated thanks 😊

I’ve traveled in and out of Thailand scores of times during long Asia trips over the years and have always been fine with 30 day visa exempt entry. Make sure you have the big 3 requirements ($/booked room/booked transport out) and you should have no problems. If you have the time and inclination, a multiple entry visa is a fine idea. Just seemed like too much work to me.

As a tourist you can get a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry, so it would be no problem. The topics about denied entry or warnings you will get are about people living long times inside Thailand using short time visa free entries and tourist visa, as long as you don't live inside Thailand you will be fine

you're eligible for a visa exemption on arrival for 30 days. they have been cracking down a bit though and there's a small chance you could be rejected. if you want to play it a bit safer, get a 6 month multi-entry visa before you go.
