Hi! I flew into Bangkok from Cambodia and I'm coming to the end of my 30 days (visa exemption or whatever the correct terminology is). I understand from the very helpful people on this group that I can get a 30 day extension by going to the immigration office. I understand I need my Passport, passport size photo, copy of passport ID page and entry stamp, 1900 baht, and the departure card. My question is do I need to complete any paper work before I arrive or simply show up and join the que? Also, as the office is closed on Tuesday 29th, is it best to go first thing on Monday morning to avoid any large ques? Thanks so much :)

when i did this in Jomtien (pattaya) immigration last March they also asked me proof of accommodation (they give you paper to be filled by your hotel or owner of condo/apartment with stamp and receipt of payment). i dont know if it s just at Jomtien or everywhere. i also noticed that in the afternoon is less crowded.

They give you the forms when you get there... here late afternoon is the quietest time but i'm not sure in bangkok... it's probably always busy...
