I just wanted to seek some clarification on an aspect I overlooked. The 60-day extension of stay (for visiting my wife), was I supposed to cancel that at immigration?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on whether they need to cancel their 60-day extension of stay for visiting their wife at immigration in Thailand. Comments indicate that there is no need to cancel the extension; once it expires, the individual can either apply for a year-long extension if financial requirements are met or use amnesty options available.

then the only option is the year extension based on meeting the financial requirements (if your Non-O is based on marriage to at thai) that's the only extension available to you and you can do it right from the amnesty you're on now.
