Do I need to apply for my DTV visa first before submitting my family’s applications?

Hello all,

I am applying for the DTV visa. I am a UK citizen. I want to add my wife and son as dependants. I am using the E-Visa service, online.

Do I need to apply for mine, individually, first.. and then add them separately?

It seems that is the case but I can't be sure. Any advice is appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus is that the main applicant must first secure their DTV visa before submitting applications for dependents. Each family member must submit separate applications, stating their dependency status, and include the DTV visa of the main applicant as part of their documentation. Additionally, there are inquiries regarding the timeline for application submission as well as the costs and financial proof required for dependents.

I hope it’s ok to ask a question in relation to the original question.

Is it correct that each dependent will cost as much as the original DTV visa fee?

Does only the original DTV holder have to provide proof of 500.000 baht savings?

Thanks

yes.. each dependant you add costs the same amount. £300 in UK.

The original DTV holder must show over 500k baht in their account too

Hi,
@Joseph ********
.

I'm planning to submit the application. We're going to Thailand on March. Do you know if I need to apply, say, "X time before arriving"? Specially, can I apply 2 month before going? Thanks!

Just to clarify, you don’t “add them”, but submit separate applications (including the fee) based on rational that you, father, has a DTV. So once you have your DTV, you can submit applications for each family member

Yes. You must have yours issued first. When submitting their applications there are specific selections that let you choose that it is a dependent DTV, and one of the required upload documents will be the already issued DTV visa of the sponsor.
