Hello all π€ a lot of mixed info regarding children and visas. I have been told that children under 15 do not require a visa? Does anyone have experience with having children here?
My kids are coming to the end of their 30 day on arrival and I have just done my 30 day extension. Will need to do my visa run on the 20th Nov.
Should I extend their 30 days now or can I just go out with them on my visa run and then apply for their 60 day tourist visa when I do my run.
So my understanding is I won't get a fine. I will just need to ensure I get them onto a visa while I am sorting out a school.
So many mixed views on this part. The school I spoke to seems to think they don't need a visa until 15 so I can do my visa run and sort out their visas with the school they join.
So much red tape I'm scared I risk a nasty fine...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the visa requirements for children under 15 in Thailand, focusing on the confusion surrounding whether or not they need a visa. The original poster mentions their children's impending end to a 30-day on-arrival period and their own plans for a visa run. There are mixed opinions in the comments, with one commenter stressing the importance of keeping the children legal for schooling purposes, while another clarifies that children do require a visa, but may not incur fines for overstaying before age 15.
You should definitely keep them legal if you plan to live here and school them here.

They need a VISA, no matter what every tells you. What they try to tell you is children till the age of 15 years do not get fined. With other words they will get a stamp inside their passport for overstay, but nobody has to pay for this.
