I have a Non-O 12 month visa. In the past I have done trailing spouse but I wasnโt in Thailand during my husbands extension this year so had to start again.
Question: does it matter when I go for trailing spouse extension? I.e. my non-O with 90 day stamps actually does work for me right up to his next OA renewal in March2023 (my Non-O is valid til June 2023). So can I wait until March when he renews and THEN get trailing spouse?
Figured if that works then no point spending the 1900 plus multi reentry for this next few months.
Reason for needing trailing spouse is my husband and I live here (both retired) and I generally do not leave every 90 days. I donโt want to miss the chance to have trailing spouse and then have to go to home country to start a non O again at some point in the future.
Thank you in advance. ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can apply for a trailing spouse extension after their husband's visa renewal, given that their Non-O visa is valid until June 2023 and they hold multiple 90-day entry stamps. A comment suggests that if their Non-O visa allows for multiple entries, the user could continue to receive new 90-day stamps until it's time for the husband's extension, implying that it may be possible to wait until March to apply for the trailing spouse without any immediate need to spend on an extension.

if you have a multi-entry Non-O where you can bounce out and back to get new 90 day entry stamps until your husband's extension comes due you can BOTH apply for new extensions
