TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Bangkok with a 60-day tourist visa and plans to fly to India. They seek advice on whether they can revoke their visa upon returning to Thailand. Community comments suggest obtaining a Re-Entry Permit before leaving to maintain the same entry status upon return, along with reminders to return before the visa's expiration date.
Good luck David with your reentry permit. Safe journey.

Make sure you return before the expiry date of your 60 day entry stamp OR extend for 30 days and get a re-entry permit at the same time at immigration.

you can get a Re-Entry Permit on the airport before you leave. With this permit you get the same Admitted until ../../.. as you have now stamped in your passport.
let me guess, Suvarnibhumi airport, see picture. DMK airport just behind Immigration, just tell the officer you need one. Krabi does not provide this service. Chang Mai, Khon Kaen,Udon, Samui, Surat Thani, Phuket sorry I do not know the locations of each and every airport. But ask the Immigration before you stamp out and they will help you.
