ahh, now you're making sense, YES you can indeed leave the country during the under consideration period BUT you need to buy a re-entry permit BEFORE you stamp out.

Keep in mind your re-entry permit will only be valid until Sept 2nd..

WAIT a bit, you are saying you need to leave for Taiwan on Sept 24-26 and that is WAY after Sept 2nd, the date you need to show up at the immigration office to get the extension inked into your passport.

Once you get your extension put into your passport on the 2nd THEN buy a re-entry permit.
