Hello!

Firstly, Merry Christmas to all of you!

One question and sorry if I repeated it as well. 

I am holding an ED visa from Language school that will expire on 12-Jan-2023. I already talked to my school and they also submitted documents to the Ministry of Education which are still in progress. My school said that MOE will inform in January. But not sure when will be. 

If I leave the Country in one week advance (before 12-Jan) go to Laos for some personal matters and then come back to Thailand after 12th January with a visa on arrival. Then, convert to an ED visa again. 

Is it still ok? or any advice?

In that case, I will enter with a Tourist visa and wait for an ED visa extension from the school.. or consider another visa option. Is it valid? Thanks for quick response 🙏

you can't get an ED extension if you leave the country and return with a tourist visa. Your ED visa will be null and void.

It is a bit complicated for me now..:).. I will also be overstaying if I don't get an ED visa extension on 12-Jan-23 right? or should I do single re-entry stamps before I leave and come back within 12-Jan-2023.

re-entry stamp does nothing. It doesn't extend, it just keeps it alive until the original date.
