Looking for some guidance for my upcoming trip in January please ๐
I am going to be leasing land or property when I return to the kingdom, either through a Thai person I know or leaseholder. It is my understanding that I am able to do this under a tourist visa? Does anyone have experience with what visa is needed?
I'm struggling to find the exact information that allows this as it's a long expensive flight trip back home to Canada if I am not prepared beforehand. Any advice or insights for this visa situation are welcome, kindly please share ๐ Thank you in advance!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on leasing land or property in Thailand while on a tourist visa. They want to know if this is permissible and are looking for accurate information to prepare for their trip from Canada. According to community insights, it is possible to enter into a long-term land lease (up to 30 years) while on a tourist visa without any issues.
you can get a single entry tourist visa from many different embassies/consulates. Some do restrict to nationals of that country, but many including those in SE Asia will let nationals of most apply. Multiple entry usually is only your country of origin or legal residence. Pre covid I think one consulate in Australia would do them for other nationalities but Iโve not seen any info on whether they do so now.
