hi guys, i have question about my STV visa i got my first extension on 18 august until 15 November i asked for my last and second extension before 30 September and the immigration told me if not possible to extend because is more than 45 days before my visa finish is true i count and is 47 days so i said for 2 days i can't extend he say u can't but u can try to change ur visa before the end of ur visa i m really confuse because i want to stay in thailand 3 months more and i know is impossible to change STV visa , so is meaning i have  to leave thailand  come back with TR visa and paid new quarantine ....

I don't think this post is going anywhere fast. You can stay until around November 15th or thereabouts. The Thai government *wants* to reopen the country as normal by October, and have everything return as normal.

The STV is a visa that allows a person to stay in Thailand for 90 days, and allows up to three 90 day extension of stay, up to September 30th (source:

- one of the very few consulates that still have that information up). Sadly, after September 30th, you can't get another Extension of Stay on this visa.

*IF* everything returns as normal, you *MAY* be able to border bounce, and return on a 30 day visa exempt stamp if you are from a visa exempt country, or purchase a single entry tourist visa at a nearby consulate.

You can stay until the middle November, and that's about three months from now. I recommend just waiting to see what will happen.

At some immigration offices, the soonest you can apply for an extension of stay is when there's 45 days or less remaining on the existing stamp. 47 days is too long out.

Bangkok immigration is strict about the STV, and requires all paperwork to be order. I can not imagine they would be able to convert the STV into another type of visa.

so i have to leave Thailand come back and new quarantine .. what will happening if go to airport and past immigration get stamp out , and dont take my fly and try to come back in Thailand ?

They would not let you return to Thailand. You would have to stamp into another country first.

Your current stamp expires on November 16th. I recommend waiting until early November and see if everything returns to normal.

so yeah i have to paid new quarantine maybe 2 depends the country i go , i will try going to immigration before 30 sep before and if they say no try going 1 november , is crazy because my friend arrived 1 week before me can get last extend ..

I can not imagine a process to extend the visa early by another two days. The STV was a badly though-out visa by the Thai government, and was one of the few visas that the moderators of this group encouraged people NOT to get.

The best you can do is to see what would happen in November.
