I plan to extend my student VISA which will expire on 28 February 2022 because I have to stay in Thailand longer for about 1-2 months due to additional experiments for my thesis research and publication for graduation. Can I extend my student VISA with a monthly rent of my apartment because I don't renew the yearly contract and plan to go back to my country on April. I haven't changed my address since coming to Thailand. Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their student visa, which is set to expire on February 28, 2022, due to an extension of their thesis research. They are unsure if they can extend their visa without renewing their yearly apartment rental contract. Responses indicate that to extend a Non-Immigrant ED (Education) visa, the user must provide documentation from their educational institution, and such extensions are typically granted for a maximum of 90 days.
I think you're confused a bit, you need documentation from your school or uni to apply for an extension and as a rule those extensions issued based on education are for no more than 90 days at a time.
You need to be talking to your school/university to get documentation to apply for an extension based on education.
I've discussed with my uni and they will prepare my documents to extend my VISA only for 6 months. However, one of the documents that I have to bring to the immigration office is an apartment contract which I did not renew for an annual contract so currently I only rent my apartment monthly. Sorry for my misunderstanding ๐
just take it, there shouldn't be a problem at all. I never heard them asking for a lease for the duration of the extension, if you pay month to month, just take the current lease you have
