I have a 1 year non O (marriage) visa that's going to expire middle of March, I have a flight booked to the UK in April. I don't have 400k seasoned in my thai bank account. Is it possible to get some other kind of extension? I only need 3 weeks or so, or is leaving for a neighboring country and coming back on an exemption my only option?

You can apply for a “visit Thai family” extension once per visa. If you haven’t already used that you’d get a further 60 days.

you’ll need to check with your office as it’s probably office specific. But you’ll need proof of marriage, and your wife will need to accompany you.
