I obtained my Non-immigrant O - single entry โ married to Thai Wife Visa from the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles. I arrived on December 6, 2023 and got a valid until March 4, 2024 Entry Stamp at Chaing Mai Airport for a 90 days stay. Its Feb 5, 2024 today and my flight out is on May 30 2024. That is 115 days from now. Can I simply do a tm7 for another 90 days on May 30th โ 90 days = March 1, 2024 ? Or do I have to apply in Chaing Mai for a new Non-immigrant O - single entry โ married to Thai Wife visa on March 1, 2024 or METV? An Metv would give me more time but have never done one while in Thailand. All actions seem a bit to close to initiated on March 1, 2024 with my current visa expiring on March 4th. TIA
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual, holding a Non-immigrant O - single entry visa, inquired about options for extending their stay in Thailand, given they plan to leave on May 30, 2024. Responses clarified that a 90-day extension is not available for their current visa, and they cannot apply for a new Non-immigrant O visa within Thailand once entered on that visa type. The best options provided include applying for a one-year extension based on marriage, applying for a one-time 60-day visit extension without proof of funds, or exiting and re-entering Thailand for a fresh 30-day visa exemption stamp.
