Hello, I'm hoping for some advice. I am here in Phuket on a 60 day tourist visa, my husband works here and has a work permit but it is taking a long time to get my spouse visa because we got married in Greece (we are both from UK) so immigration are asking for more docs. 

Therefore, I need to extend my tourist visa for another 30 days, do you know the likelihood of my visa being extended, I'm not sure how they will look at me for extending again... Thanks

I would contact the Greek embassy in Thailand. Depending on what the Thai immigration actually want, I know they like an official stamp, so perhaps the Greek embassy could do that? Then it's quite likely that immigration would want to see a Thai government stamp on the translation which would be from the Thai MFA. Or, if the Greek embassy won't authenticate the certificate, maybe just the Thai MFA stamp on the translation would do. What exactly did immigration say they wanted with regard to the certificate?

is it in Greek language? If so you will need it translating. Notorised means getting a solicitor or lawyer to stamp it and sign it. We got our done in UK before we came to Thailand.

I haven’t extended it yet. I came out on 60 days and this will be my first extension. Also in yet to find out 🙈 the UK does not have a process to register overseas marriages as they automatically see it as legal however immigration are insisting. So now I’m trying to get in touch with the British Embassy In Athens to see if they can provide anything. It’s proving very complicated but when I find out I’ll update in here

you get 60 days of stay with tourist visa and you can only apply for the 30 day Extension of Stay once.
