Its a grey area at the moment. Immigration don't appear to have made any decisions regarding ED to Elite. The 50% price increase might make immigration more susceptible to applications from previous ED holders

Talking nonsense. The Royal Thai Police basically have f*ck all to do with the application of visas including the Elite visa.

It's the MFA, Immigration Police only enforce the laws/rules/guidelines they don't make them.
