Hello Kind People,

My 60 days of my tourist visa ends on the 4th December, i am going to extend for another 30 days, do i need to go to immergration on the 4th December or can i go earlier (Tomorrow) and they will still extend 30 days from the 4th December? Any help much appreciated as always.

you can go whenever you like, as long as it is before the expiration date. (Well, you could probably go then, too, but have complications with overstay).

I believe it is up to the discretion of the officer but I guess so is the extension in the first place. In practice I think they will do it for anyone in Chiang Mai, the sign outside even mentions paying 500 a day plus 1,900 for the extension if you go late.
