Can a TR60 be extended for 60 days in Thailand due to COVID-19?

Some of immigration offices said they dont give both extension (regular 30 days, and covid 60 days) and some say they can give both. but if i read what you say , the best way to do is ask first for 30 days regular and then 60 days ?

I would ask first 60 days but i’m worry if finaly after 60 days extension they dont give me 30 days regular extension.

and it seems that some immigration office dont give 30days extension after 60 days extension (for exemption visa entry) do you have some suggestion ?

Different immigration offices have different policies. Some require you to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism before getting a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. All extension of stays are 1,900 THB.

You can ask for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, the worse they would do is give you a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism instead.

For the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19:

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters. If your embassy doesn't issue this letter, it's ok as well

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport
