Can a partner get a non "o" if the spouse has a brand new work permit valid for 1 year but only has 2 months left on a non "b" that will need extending. Thank you for any advice.

I think if you didn't get the Non-O visa from the same consulate at the same time as your partner did, you need to wait get the Non-O visa AFTER the spouse gets the year extension.

If you're trying to do it inside the country at the immigration office check with them, OR ask the company your spouse is working for for their recommendation of a consulate in a nearby country to use.

IF you are on a Non-B visa or a yearly extension you can apply for a new yearly extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp.

I want to ask a question also. Someone who has non o visa (spouse of individual that have non b visa) can use the non o visa to work as teacher or should change the visa non b (teaching)?
