Thanks to advice from this group, I currently hold a one year extension to my Non-immigrant OA visa, valid until Jan. 11 2020. I am planning to apply for a new Non-immigrant OA visa from the Thai consulate in Los Angeles when I travel there in April.
I'm planning to stay in Asia the approximately three months from January to April, some of the time in Bangkok, but also with time spent outside Thailand so I'd get a standard 30-day tourist visa on each entry before I return to the US.
Does anyone see any problems with this plan (e.g., Thai immigration doesn't permit a 30-day visa right after the expiration of a Non-immigrant OA, the consulate won't issue a new Non-immigrant OA, etc.). Many thanks.
