I think Benjamin’s #2 point is most pertinent. It’s not necessarily an easy task to be able to find a way to stay here long term, doesn’t mean it can’t be done..Also, I would say Thailand is “generally safe”. That doesn’t mean it’s free from crime and general issues you would find anywhere else. The roads are however, statistically some of the most dangerous in the world. That is always a consideration when looking at a new place to live..

at my local pharmacy, the sell generic fluoxetine. I think each pack is like 200 baht and there are like 10 pills a blister pack...good luck, I understand your situation..

, I am not sure how much that has to do with it. The vegetarian traditions of Buddhism are usually associated with the Mahayana School. Most Southeast Asian Buddhism (aside from Vietnam) is Theravada. If you were to ask me, I would say: it is hard to find strict veg food in this country unless you go to one of those specialty "Je" food stalls with yellow awnings.

Must all live in big cities. $700 a month is comfortable in the backcountry areas of Isan, at least for me..Bangkok is a different animal..
