. I don't use an agent. I'm not paying someone a month's salary to do a days work, especially when I would do most of the paperwork for them anyway. It's It's rort..
. I'm well aware agents do it. Because they are unprofessional and ignore thai laws regarding passports. A "professional " wold collect the passport just prior to going to imm and return it asap after the 30 day consideration stamp is done. Thats what is bullshit about it. A month is totally unnecessary, also considering the exorbitant prices they charge for doing stuff all, a days work at most.
. A few days I would understand .A month is total bullshit. If you want to hand your most important legal document to total strangers for a month for no reason , be my guest. Bangkok= passport forgery capital of the world. .
. Bullshit. I've done 4 yearly extensions and immigration give you back your passport during the 30 day under consideration. Thai imm law states you are supposed to carry it or have quick access to it at all times. Try doing anything at a govt office, bank , utility company , hotel, rental company without it.. passport belongs to your govt, not you.
Just curious, why the hell is an agent holding your passport for a month? Just hope you don't get questioned by police for any reason, they'll fine you for not having it on you or readily available . Agent having it for a month is very suspicious.
