. No . I checked properly. All vans from victory monument to all areas have been moved permanently. Government order to reduce traffic jams in V M . One of the worst intersections in Bkk.

Victory monument to ekkamai is only 10.minutes on bts.

. The van or bus you need now leaves from Ekkamai Bus Terminal. Bts will take you right to it. (Ekkamai bts station.)

. It's still valid. 90% of passengers are thai . But number of Daily vans may be less. Why don't you go down there and ask?

If it's 1 or 2 people take a van. 3 or 4 a taxi would be a lot more comfortable. Dirt cheap either way . Ask the locals in your area ,they will help you. Taxis will take you for a negotiated fixed fee.

Avoid peak hours and Friday evenings. It will double the travel time.

Any will gladly take them . Just be a good sport about it and bag them in 100b lots.

. If the bellends running customs realised if they halved the import taxes, it would double the foreign investment , creating more and higher paid jobs. China and Japan already invest more than their tourism revenue (prior to covid)

150% total extra charges to collect a birthday gift for my thai wife from my Australian family. They paid 50 AUD for it and customs valued it at 70 AUD.

This is why almost everyone will recommend you don't.. especially high value items.
