First entry with DTV visa

Suvarnabhumi around 8pm

presented my passport and DTV visa. immigration officer looked frustrated/angry and called a superior over and i was taken to the interrogation area.

Waited around an hour in the interrogation area with about 50 other people until my name was called, sat down and the officer said "oooh DTV visa very nice, I dont know why you pulled over here, the officer must have been confused, enjoy your stay" .. no other questions asked.

weird and inconvenient

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared an experience of entering Thailand with a DTV visa, describing an initial encounter with an immigration officer who seemed frustrated, leading to a brief hold in the interrogation area. After an hour, the officer expressed confusion about the user's referral to the area, ultimately wishing them a pleasant stay. Other commenters chimed in with their own experiences, some indicating frequent visits without issues, while others noted similar encounters with confusion regarding DTV visas, suggesting possible inconsistencies in training among immigration officers.

Had my second DTV entry today. 5 day gap after being in Thailand for 5 and a half months.

Glanced at my phone boarding pass.

Carefully stamped my passport - so the curves lined up with the previous stamp, smiled and waved me through.

Zero questions. Just smiles when I said hello and thank you.

Another 6 months approved.

I was held for two hours with a return tix just for a short visit lmao. The senior on the interogation area looked at my passport and return ticket and asked two questions and she just straight up. "Yeah I dont know why you got sent here".

Been in and out of there 6x in the last 2 months and never any issue. In fact the immigration officers already have a 6 month stamp with date set to process the dtvs

Given other posts and comments in the past I really believe there has been no training or guidance issued across the board about the DTV for all Immigration Officers.
