Recent updates to the Thai visa extension rules for individuals over 50 years of age eliminate the requirement for income affidavits from embassies. Applicants must now demonstrate a minimum income of 65,000 THB per month, maintain at least 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account for a minimum of 2 months prior to application, and keep this amount for 3 months post-application, allowing withdrawals down to 400,000 THB. Alternatively, a combination of income and funds can also be used to meet the financial requirements.
